The WSB Kommers competition was held in Kenosha on April 23, 2022; this was the first Kommers since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event was hosted by MGV Harmonia and was held at the Holy Rosary Parish in the school gym.
It was a beautiful day and it was great to see all of the choirs together again! MGV Harmonia, who had won the last competition in 2019, came in first again this year. Gesangverein Concordia was second and Madison Maennerchor was third.

German Fest Milwaukee has announced that 2020 German Fest, originally scheduled July 24-26, has been cancelled, due to the current Covid-19 situation. For more information, please see the press release on the German Fest website: https://germanfest.com/
On March 31st, PBS Wisconsin broadcast a program on a cappella singing groups from Wisconsin high schools. Here is the link to the page about the program with an embedded link to the video:
Kommers 2019 was held on Sunday April 7th at Hart Park in Wauwatosa. MGV Harmonia Kenosha won the competition, with the Madison Maennerchor in second place and Milwaukee Liederkranz, the 2018 winner, in third. Milwaukee Liedertafel was the host choir and the set up and food were great.

The Beloit Chorale performed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison on Saturday July 21st. This is the Chorale’s first season and we were pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor the concert.
